Overall a very nice place. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Every question and request I had they were able to promptly solve. The location is a further out than a large place than for example Newport, this ensures it’s nice and quiet. The surrounding area is beautiful, with many miles for walks and cycling to explore the stunning scenery.

Loved seeing the pier even though it was closed to the public. People were enjoying a swim, the waves, the evening sun as the bay is westward. It is a really nice beach! We walked around to Colwell Bay for ice cream as the restaurant at Totland is fully booked in advance. Pleasant walks around Totland to the beach.

Beautiful!

Beautiful! Amazing sunsets and lovely small pubs and restaurants. Everyone was lovely and the vibes give old England. It’s amazing, I’d love to live in Totland. It’s easy to get around (we had a car). We enjoyed the hikes up the foot path (stairs) from totland bay beach, it takes you up to a view of the needles and it’s stunning!

Totland is quieter end of IOW, but easy to get to other...

Totland is quieter end of IOW, but easy to get to other areas via good road systems with beautiful views. Great eating out at local pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend Red Lion in Freshwater and Waterfront restaurant on Totland sea front. Visit Arreton Barns for local crafts, Havenstreet railway, Osbourne House and Carisbrook Castle. We were greatly helped by AZ visitors map of IOW, which showed all places to visit on the island.

There were nice beaches nearby and a couple of nice restaurants. I'm sure you could go for nice walks along the coast path etc but we didn't have time. There isn't a huge amount in the immediate vicinity but it isn't far to anywhere on the island if you have a car (or bike) The Red Lion in Freshwater had good food but decor and atmosphere a bit lacking. the Waterfront in Totland Bay was very good - lovely setting, good food and nice staff. Others in our larger group recommended the food at the Garlic Farm but I didn't eat there

I think Totland is fairly typical of this part of the Island - few shops and not enough restaurants. Quiet and pretty, it might be a little dull for families with children, but lovely for a single older traveller.

Fabulous location with plenty of options for eating and...

Fabulous location with plenty of options for eating and drinking and walking with views over the Solent to Hurst castle. The Waterfront restaurant was great food. Very close to the landmark attraction of the Needles. Lots of take away options around too. Easy travelling from the ferry port at Yarmouth.

The breakfast was absolutely outstanding with so much choice both from a continental and made to order hot breakfast The breakfast room overlooked the hotel's manicured gardens, the patio area and furniture would be a great to use in the summer months. The Totland room was very spacious, very clean and comfortable with a good seaview. A good restaurant The Waterfront was only 100 yards away A selfservice honesty bar with a great choice of wines & spirits etc The hotel was only 5 minutes drive from the ferry .

Great location for some relaxation, peace and quiet. Very private. Lovely welcoming place and the beach hut was a fun and practical addition. Apartment was extremely clean and tidy. Spacious rooms with everything you could need! Great location for the beach and open water swimming. Pub food just along the bay was delicious. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend!!!!!

The property was clean and spacious with a modern vibe. They left us butter, sauces, tea, coffee, all the helpful stuff. Just a short walk from the beautiful totland bay and the waterfront restaurant. Premier shop down the driveway and on the right, and a chip shop opposite. Parking space is for the property, so never a worry about getting a space. A lovely little outside seating area.

Beautiful property, tastefully decorated with very good quality appliances. Found both beds to be very comfy and slept well. Quiet area. Had plenty of local walks around the area to Freshwater, Needles and Totland. Very close to Yarmouth Port (10 minute drive). Took 45 mins to get to the other side of the island.
