We liked everything from the lovely warm welcome when we arrived to the exceptionally good plant based full breakfast before we left. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. We walked along the canal path from the accommodation to the centre of Todmorden which was a great way to stretch the legs after traveling.

We booked the suite for the night. The room was really clean and tidy and loved the hidden bookshelf door to the bathroom. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much for them. The food at the restaurant was fantastic as again were the staff. The breakfast was really good too. Will 100% recommend and stay again. Thank you to all the staff at The Rake

The room that we booked (and the rest of the house) is absolutely beautiful! It is clean, warm and cosy, and felt wonderfully homely. Ideal location for Hebden Bridge. Everything is within walking distance and there is a (paid) car park just across the road. If traveling by public transport there is a bus stop directly opposite and the rail station is nearby. Although there are bars next door and behind there was no noise. the room is clean modern and comfortable. Breakfast is friendly and unfussy.

    The location is perfect for a rural break with easy access...

    The location is perfect for a rural break with easy access to footpaths and the local countryside. We took stroll to the pub at Top Brink Inn, first pub outing since this lockdown. Easy 20 minutes walk, decent pub food except for the vegan chillie option. Easy to walk to Todmorden from there but as we walked so much the day before we took a £5 taxi back.
