This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.

Obviously recently renovated and the staff were clearly well trained, friendly but appropriate,and helpful. A minor issue with the curtains when we were shown to our room was dealt with by the next day. And,yes, you get shown to your room - a courtesy often lacking in hotels these days! The room (double with a private terrace) Was clean and comfortable, no noise from other rooms. Lovely rain-shower! The gardens are in the process of being re-landscaped but still pleasant and a lovely river walk.

The Reception staff were excellent - very helpful and a pleasure to deal with The Room was high quality - show facilities were excellent and very comfortable bed The Breakfast was high quality Hotel gave us the name of a taxi firm to enable us to get to our event - the taxi firm was excellent Overall good

The fine dining restaurant Prevost was wonderful. It is well its the way to a Michelin Star. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and were keen for me to make the most of my stay. I will return next year.
