We stayed for two nights in April and had a truly wonderful time. The host gave us a warm and friendly welcome, including their smart dog “Roki” 😊 The hotel is located at the highest point in Mazeri village, offering a stunning view surrounded by five beautiful mountains. We even had the chance to try skiing right in front of the hotel! The room was lovely and clean, and the food was delicious. We loved the peaceful environment and had an amazing time with our family. We truly love this place and would highly recommend it.

Nice place with super host. Modest furniture, but good facilities. Good location for hike fans. Outstanding Svanetian cousin. Perfect view. Amazing host Richard, who can help you with any request. Richard is famous Norwegian writer who published several books on Christian church, Caucasian mountains and Svanetia. He fluently speaks Norwegian, Latvian, Russian, English and three more languages.

Facility seems very new, and was super clean. The bed was comfortable, not too springy like many beds in Georgia. Nice bathroom! Cool shower capsule and euro-style towel warmer (always a cute curiosity for us Americans). Nice patio with lounge chairs.

We had a phenomenal stay at Ushba Cottages. The property is beautiful and remote with gorgeous views of Mts. Ushba and Mazeri; the hosts were immensely generous, accommodating, and flexible and prepared one of the most delicious dinners we had in all of Georgia so we were fueled for long hikes in Svaneti. I’d highly recommend Ushba Cottages for the most idyllic and comfortable stay in Mazeri.

As you might guess from the price, this is no 5-star hotel. If you are looking for luxury, there are other options in Mazeri that might suit you better. Instead, with Mila you will find a family that will welcome you to their home. They will give you plentiful and delicious breakfasts, filling both your bellies and your hearts. We had a bed, and access to a clean toilet which was all we needed. Their beautiful garden full of apple trees was a big plus. We already miss Mila and her family, we had a great stay with them.

We recently had the most wonderful two-day stay at Lamish Hotel, and I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking mountain views that greeted me. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room we stayed in was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. But what truly set it apart was the magnificent view of the mountains.     Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...

    Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. Hores rental is not expensive, during my visit about US $38 per day

    It was a great trip for all of us.

    It was a great trip for all of us. Many thanks to Murman and Bacho for their hospitality. Now we know 100% that Svaneti has not only the most beautiful mountains, but also the most hospitable people. All the conditions were 100% as described, the hosts did everything possible to make our stay with them comfortable. A special thanks for the organization of the birthday party for our friend. In general - everything was very good. Thank you for this stay.
