Lovely Stay in the Heart of Uscghuli I had a wonderful time at this charming hotel! The location is perfect with beautiful views. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh local ingredients and a great variety. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this beautiful region!

I felt we were so lucky to be able to spend the night in Ushguli - what a truly stunning place especially after the Mestia day trippers have departed! The guesthouse is very homely, dinner was tasty and the shower was perfect! What we particularly loved was the horse riding. We did about 2 hours (this was enough for me and my six year old) but for the same price you can do a 5 hour ride to the glacier. I wish we could have spent longer here. The new Ushguli-Kutaisi road is excellent (4 hours) - we left early at 6am with a driver and were easily able to make the 11:47 train Kutaisi-Tbilisi arriving at 16:00. I’m sure this new road and the train connections will mean more visitors to Ushguli, not only hikers. Thank you again and highly recommended.

Cosy, simple place. The breakfast and dinner were very nice and more than we could even eat! The host, Dati, was very welcoming and even drove us back to Mestia very early in the morning. Thanks a lot again.

Beautiful and very clean place with everything you need. Good heating with log fire and electric heaters in the bedrooms. The dinner and breakfast were very good and took care of gluten free and vegan options.

    Ushguli is a wonderful city with its stunning nature and historical beauty, perfect for resting after long trekking and hiking adventures. Tamar Castle is a must-visit spot. Located at the upper part of the city, it’s reached via a scenic path intertwined with a dried-up riverbed. The view of the city from the castle is breathtaking. Additionally, vibrant wildflowers along the mountains add a colorful charm to the city’s atmosphere. After a 6-day hike, we arranged a taxi back to Mestia with help from the facility where we stayed. It’s also easy to find many taxi drivers in the city square.

    Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location.

    Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location. Quite simply a dream. It deserves time spent here. More than a day trip. You can hike. You can sit and soak up the unforgettable views. Wandering through Ushguli is like stepping back in time. We stayed for two nights and it was quite simply one of the top highlights of our travels to date. Our mistake: not staying longer.

    Authentic beautiful mountain village. Definitely recommend.

    Authentic beautiful mountain village. Definitely recommend. But it is cheaper to get there then to return from it to Mestia. You can go hiking to Shkhara glacier by foot or take a horse for half a way.
