Wow, what a fantastic experience we had for 2 full weeks! The River Suites really lives its motto: Stay-dine-unwind! and we really did! the room, the breakfast , the pool area, direct access to the beach is all excellent: the restaurant outdid itself: if you stay, try the Cretan Linguini with Shrimp! But none of the excellence would have been possible without the spectacular staff: Manos, Panos, Valisis, Miranda, Mania, Michalis, Stella, Giorgios, Angelos, Angela, Kosmas, Evangelia, Vasia, Petrus, Dimitris, Alex and Aris thank you all for creating the welcoming and fantastic experience you all gave us! Very good location and nice building with parking right next door. The elevator was a blessing although we had to carry our bags up one extra flight after that. Everything was comfy and quiet.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day.

    Nice city, easy access to sea sports and boat cruises A small but nice commercial zone with everything you need. Some nice restaurants around the small lake : For example Migomis Piano Restaurant, very good food, and Gioma Meze, nice view on the city and lake

    Pleasant and pretty town centre with lovely shops and restaurants with helpful staff everywhere. Awesome beaches, loved the Kimzu beach club and the cute cafe with amazing views next to Votsalo beach. No need to hire a car (we wasted our money) nowhere is lovelier in Crete.

    An interesting town with a wide range of shops, restaurants, harbour, facilities and things to do. Unfortunately it is a victim of its own success, so gets fairly crowded at time and the traffic is busy and not helped by the narrow streets, challenging one way system and limited parking.

    From Almyros beach you can walk to the end of the beach and join a footpath which leads you straight into town. About a 20 minute walk to centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Fantastic restaurants and cocktail / wine bars, most doing traditional Greek cuisine. Can’t say we had a bad meal but all display menus so you can pick whatever suits your taste.

    We couldn't choose better - although there was a small misunderstanding about what we've booked and the room we got, the personal was very willing and met our request. The facilities are new, everything is of a very good quality. The view from our room was amazing. There was a swimming pool which we though didn't use as the hotel stands next to several beautiful beaches where you can walk or drive within several minutes. If I ever return to Crete, I'll definitely stay here again.

    Our room was very spacious and nicely furnished. Very clean with a large walk-in double rainshower. We had a large patio with a beautiful view of the sea. Great pool with bar area and a nice private beach for the hotel guests. The variety of food served at the restaurant is excellent and delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated about 10 km from Agios Nikolaos. Taxis are easy to arrange and not expensive.

    We liked everything ! If you wish to spend a few days, a week or even two in a peaceful place, the Fissi Villas are meant for you. We found there cheerful hosts (Yanna and Yannis and their adorable cat and dogs), a splendid view over the sea, a lovely and comfortable house surrounded by nature. Should we come back to Crete someday, we will be back to Fissi Villa for sure.

    The location was perfect, an easy walk to everything. We loved the overall look of the apartment, even better than the photos. Also we forgot some clothes when we left, and they very kindly posted them on to us at another address in Crete, above and beyond. Highly recommend this property!

    I had a lovely stay at this hotel in Agios Nikolaos. The location was perfect, everything was clean, and for the price it was really great value. Breakfast was tasty and a nice way to start the day, and the staff were so kind and helpful, which made the stay even better.
