Enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony in the evenings. The Bathroom was lovely and clean and the shower was big and perfect. The hotel had a calm relaxed feel to it .

Amazing views and a really nice pool also there’s a restaurant owned by them right across the road that has everything you need. Has spacious rooms and bathrooms and is also 15 minutes away from one of the most beautiful and famous lakes in Europe its absolutely stunning would highly recommend also really good price

The hotel had a great location – a beautiful, clean, and comfortable small family-run hotel. Everything met our expectations and matched what was promised. The restaurant by the beach, right next to the hotel, served incredibly tasty food made from fresh, local ingredients – for example, there was a tomato field right next to the restaurant! All our additional requests and questions were answered quickly and positively. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, with Pablo standing out as the true face of the hotel thanks to his exceptional service. The hotel is located just a short walk from a beautiful beach. I highly recommend it to anyone who values quality, peace, and a relaxing holiday :)

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was absolutely perfect — from the beautifully maintained facilities to the spotless, comfortable rooms. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is peaceful and ideal for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. The food was another highlight — delicious, fresh, and with great variety. Every meal felt like a treat! What really made the difference, though, was the outstanding staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. A special thanks to Antonis at reception for being so helpful and professional, to Pinelopi from guest relations for her thoughtful care and hospitality, and to Eleftheria, the spa therapist, who gave one of the most relaxing treatments I’ve ever had. This hotel is a true gem — highly recommended if you're looking to relax in comfort and be looked after by a truly exceptional team.

My own and my sister's family, together with our mum, stayed at Villa Halases in Alikampos and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Everything about this place was just perfect – peaceful, beautifully done, and incredibly welcoming. The villa itself has recently been renovated and modernised, and you can really tell. It’s modern and stylish, but still keeps that cozy, Cretan charm. Everything was super clean and well looked after – from the comfy beds to the sparkling bathrooms (5 in total, which was fantastic with our large family) and the lovely kitchens (2 large ones and a smaller one upstairs), and everything is new. You could tell the owners put so much care into every detail! Speaking of which – the hosts were amazing. So kind, helpful, and genuinely warm people. They were there if we needed anything, but also gave us total privacy. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s home, not just a rental. The location is perfect – tucked away in the quiet village of Alikampos with stunning mountain views, but still really close to beaches, tavernas (try the one in Maza - hidden gem in our opinion!), and day trips around Apokoronas and Chania. We loved waking up to birdsong and ending the day with a glass of wine by the pool. What we really enjoyed was walking the Imbros gorge, which is less than half hour drive from the villa. The outdoor area? Just wow. The pool and garden are so peaceful, and there are so many spots to sit, relax, read, or enjoy a meal (and everywhere there is super fast WiFi coverage which was great). It’s exactly what you picture when you dream of a holiday in Crete. We left feeling completely recharged and already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind and feel at home in Crete, Villa Halases is it. Can’t recommend it enough!

Alikampos is a great old village (over 1,000 years old),...

Alikampos is a great old village (over 1,000 years old), with 2 tavernas on the central square. The village is about 600 m above sea level, which means in the summer it's a few degrees cooler than at sea level. Talking about the sea, it's only about 15 min drive to Georgioupolis, where you can find great beaches, lots of restaurants, bars and cafes, etc. Alikampos is quiet outside the main (summer) season, but is bustling with life in the summer whilst still keeping the village atmosphere. Just outside the village is an old Byzantine church which one can visit and is full of beautiful, ancient frescos. The village is about 30-40 min drive to Rethymno (absolutely gorgeous city) and about 40-50 min drive to Chania (also a beautiful ancient city with lots of activities). Towards the south, Alikampos is about 45-60 min drive to Choria Sfakia - you will pass the Imbros Gorge which is great to walk! - , from where you can take the ferry to Loutro, or Agio Roumeli, which is where the Samaria Gorge finishes. We'll definitely come back!

The outdoor area? Just wow. The pool and garden are so peaceful, and there are so many spots to sit, relax, read, or enjoy a meal. It’s exactly what you picture when you dream of a holiday in Crete. We left feeling completely recharged and already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind and feel at home in Crete, Villa Halases is it. Can’t recommend it enough!
