The hotel is In a beautiful location surrounded by shops cafes restaurants churches transportation. I would recommend to anyone visiting Athens. The Acropolis , Monastiraki and Plaka are all walking distance away. The staff was welcoming and pleasant through our stay. The room was very nice upgraded bathroom and comfortable bed. Athens has incredulous history on display, and great food on practically every corner. And friendly people. But it's also a big, very dense city, and very dirty in places. We love walking so staying at the President Hotel is a great location. We walked everywhere. It’s a brisk walk to Syntagma or to the Panormou metro station. The centre has so many things to see and do. Walking through plaza we stumbled onto a free museum we had no idea existed. Don't miss spending time in the Plaka area walking through the many quaint street cafes and bars, unique shops, and museums. Don't miss the unique and new Maria Callas Museum. And the Acropolis and Parthenon can be seen overlooking the city from the rooftop bars/cafes in this area.
