Great location, really nice hosts. They upgraded our villa when we checked in because it was available. They helped us with everything and great recommemdations for tavernas away from crowds. We loved having the pool at the villa with amazing views. There is the option to use all the facilities from the hotel next to us. 4 min walk to a Private beach.

My husband and I stayed at the private pool suites which we found out are brand new for the hotel. To start with, it feels like a very private hotel with limited number of rooms. The facilities such as the pool and the restaurant have much bigger capacity and there a huge potential for great beach parties but also it’s not crowded at all so feels very private at the same time. You have direct access to a sandy beach and a river right underneath the hotel restaurant which was so cool! the music, the drinks, the food, the service, the cleanliness, friendly staff, everything was very high level. We chose this place because it was adults only so you don’t get bothered by children running around and could get a nice drink at the pool. The rooms have very good sound proofing so if you feel that you want to take a nap and not hear the poolside music you can just close the window doors and you’re perfectly fine. We were treated great from day one and by the end of our stay we have already became friends with most of the staff. Good job to the whole team, I won’t mention names only because I don’t want to miss anyone and everybody was great! We also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Thank you again!

They organised a lovely arrangement of balloons for my daughter’s 18th birthday upon my request and even brought a delicious cake that was complimentary. Big sandy beaches. Good tavernas, we liked MeRaki. Istron is a "strip" of a village running along a main road. There are apartments and hotels up the hillside from the road, with not too much road noise. When rough you can hear the sea from your apartment. Apart from the beaches and eating places there is probably not too much else to do.

Istro is a town stretching along the main street.

Istro is a town stretching along the main street. It may not have any historical or super charming places but it has everything we needed: shops and restaurants, bistros, cafes and car rentals. It is based on tourists but not overloaded with them. You can meet locals drinking coffee or eating in the evenings (we recommend ΚΑΦΕΝΕΙΟ ΝΙΚΟΣ).

v nice family run hotel good size good design V nice room with sea view well maintained, good room and common area cleaning nice pool, good private beach - not crowed private parking good quite location will visit again and would recommend we had hire car, travel eastern side of the island and visited several of the other hotel options, we were pleased we booked Istron Bay.

Istron itself is a small town with some conveniences like ATM, tavernas etc. We stayed there not because we wanted to be in this particular town but because of the access it gave is to the surrounding area. With a car we could easily reach many beautiful beaches, ancient villages in the mountains, Ag Nicholas for history, churches etc. and some genuine Greek restaurants, mainly in villages. It is a good central point for many things that interest us.

Istron is a lovely place to stay with fantastic beaches and very friendly people. It is not an overly lively resort but has enough for older teens (Palace Bar was great and had lovely cocktails too and Friends had live music on some nights). It is also a great location to explore more of the island

Good value for money, considering the surrounding The kindness of the owner and her daughter who gave as present some olive oil, raki and a little souvenir from Crete. I got as well some wine, a fruit basket and a delicious piece of homemade pastitsio. Spacious apartment for 1 or 2 people. Close to the Voulisma beach, restaurants, supermarket and bus station.
