Beautiful little town. Cute streets, crystal clean water. Heaps of restaurants along the two sides of the ocean front. Definitely a great spot to stay. Kokkari beach is very long. Kokkari is a very pretty old town . There are plenty of places to eat , tavernas, cafés , bars and to relax in. It is not a party / night club resort. It is peaceful with no drunken behaviour. We do not go in August so I do not know if young people go then. It tends to be older people when we go. Although I think the beach is beautiful I do not think it or the sea is suitable for young children. The stony beach is quite hard to walk on so is not suitable for people who have walking difficulties. We enjoyed Kokkari and were able to explore the surrounds and relax on one of the many beaches. 3-4 nights are more than enough for the North. There is great hiking as the island is very green. Nice cosy small town. Many cafes/restaurants to choose by the sea. Good seafood and appetizers. OK beaches to swim (no sand, small pebbles), gets windy and wavy in the afternoon. The house is larger than it appears in the photos and very clean and comfortable. The beach is 20 seconds to the house and one of the best on the island. There is absolutely no noise from the restaurant or beach. Kokkari is a 6 minute drive away (40 minutes walking because of the steep hill on the way back) where you can get everything you need for your stay and the restaurant across the hill is also very good (but closes around 5-6 after dinner service).Guest review byoyumurtaciTurkey

The beach is one of the best places in Kokkari, even in the windy weather this bay is not so wavy. It's not Sunrise's private beach, you need to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas (the same price with the other beaches).
