Panormos is much quieter than Myrties and it has a big supermarket and a fuel station. But you need some sort of wheels to get to places as buses aren’t as frequent. We had a scooter and that worked for us well. As climbers we travelled everyday to different walls. Panormos offered the cheapest accommodation with facilities.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos island because of its location (close to the port, Kalymnos capital, museums, sightseeing and to beaches and restaurants on the other hand). The problem with all of the island is that there are nowhere sidewalks and streets are so narrow that if two cars meet one of them should back off , because there is not enough space for both of them (!!!!) and pedestrians are in a real danger .Guest review byEleniGreece - 8.0

I was on a climbing holiday and it was much more peaceful than Masouri, if that is what you like. Meeting friends in Masouri in the evening was awkward because of travel and drink driving. However, I did drink less as a result and probably felt better.Guest review byJOHN - 6.0

good restaurants, good bus service, helpful people, close to beach, good walking area. superb scenery, good centre for visiting other areas of the island. Panormos is sometimes spoilt by noisy motorbikes/ scooters in early hours and of course the area suffers from exaust pollution. The area is renowned for climbers, if that is your choice, swimming is safe in main beaches on the island. She came to pick us up from the port on the day of our arrival and dropped us to the port when we had to leave free of charge.
