There are lots of places to eat and drink in the town as well as a variety of shops. The town is very accessible from the airport and ferry port. There is a town beach within easy walking distance. We much prefer the town to the main tourist resorts. We've holidayed in Zakynthos for more than 20 years now and experienced most things. The tavernas, cafes, restaurants and shops in the town are generally of a higher quality to those in the resorts, although you can pay a little more. Our favourite shop in town is Oneiropolis and if you want to buy some lovely hand made jewellery you should visit Art of P. If you want some delicious bakery items, cakes and traditional pastries then Artogonia Coffee is a must and the newly opened Venier Boulangerie has some wonderful filled croissants, cakes, filled sandwiches and ice creams. We always got our daily Freddo Cappuccino from Avant Garde close to the main square. El Greco on the same square as Avant Garde is great for atmosphere, food and cocktails. We love Kati Psinete on the harbour front as a traditional grill house and a bit further along you have Madisons and Belo for more general Mediterranean cuisine.Guest review byJasonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Beaches beyond magnificent. Natural beauties, beautiful sunsets. Good food, nice restaurants. What I didn't like about Zakynthos is that it is very touristic. The apartment is well equipped for anything you need and really cozy as well! The apartment has washing machine, all the appliances you need for the kitchen, outside balcony, ac in all the rooms, smart tv in all the rooms as well. Nothing bad to say honestly. The cleaner was really nice and the hostess was the best! We had even a better time at Zakinthos because of the apartment. I would definitely come back! The apartment is spacious and cosy, and super comfortable for families. Great location - 10 minutes away from the port by walk. Restaurants, bakeries, cafes, groceries and pharmacies all around it, you could just leave your car at the port and have no worries for parking.
