Everything was perfect! Staff very attentitive. Best wishes to Enriqe- good english skills and tasty coctails!😉 If you want to escape from town and people- this place is for you. Good view to castle. They also have kayaks. Good breakfast!

Lovely lodge in the jungle. Suggestive location with rooms in the canals with crocodiles (don’t worry they wont eat you!). Rooms were perfect for being a lodge. A couple of nice activities are available such as a walk in the jungle and kayak in the lake. Most pleasant surprise was the food… simply extraordinary for a low price compared to Europe, and I’m quite picky usually as Italian.

Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing.

Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing. If you want more night life...then probably best to stay in Livingston. If you are ever in Livingston, the best Tapado was at a small restaurant Restaurante Gabby!! Unforgettable!! El Viajero didn't come close in flavor, maybe we just went on a bad day. Must see Siete Altares, beautiful waterfalls and blue turquoise water. We never felt unsafe, it's a very tranquil place in Rio Dulce.

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for...

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for groups else yours are in excess of £250! It's not safe to hike to seven altars alone (I was told by locals) so it's just very far for no reason. The bus from GC was supposed to be 5 hours but it was 11!

Rio Dulce is a beautiful and amazing destination, ideal for relaxation and enjoying a wide range of water activities. It also offers a variety of excellent restaurants, and the people are incredibly friendly.

I really wanted to like Rio Dulce.

I really wanted to like Rio Dulce. It turned out to be only a hub for boat and bus travel for me. Having spent two months in Guatemala by the time I got there, I was not surprised by the poverty or conditions. That said, I didn’t find much other than the castle to be places I wanted to see more of. It was very hot and humid in early July.

We had a wonderful stay at Boatique Hotel and Marina. It has wonderful vibes and beautiful houses. We were very comfortable and decided to stay an additional night to enjoy. The team is very warmful and helpful, especially Silvia who - knowing it was our honeymoon - upgrade us for the last night. Thank you to all the team !

Almost everything is good in this hotel. The location is very nice. You have great view over the river. The staff are very nice and helpful. We got a beautiful room, it was very tastefully built and decorated. The beds were good too. My kids loved swimming in the river, and to be honest so did I.

Loved the setting, a hidden gem on the rio dulce, they have a free shuttle to take you from the puerto to the hotel. Rooms are nice, all open so you can wake up with the sound of birds.
