I especially like that there is not too many tourists and that you can both enjoy the town beach just as the wild rocky beaches where you have more privacy! I would recommend Lovranski Pub and Delfino for GREAT meal! The walk road by the see - LungoMare give you a huge pleasure by the sea from Lovran to Volosko! Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural...
Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural abundance. The only problem are the roads and basic infrastructure after beautiful promenade in Opatija and Lovran. The cars are driving like there is MonteCarlo, without any consequences or fines, and as a walker going to the beach, you are not considered. Simply, there is no basic traffic lights, sidewalks and you can easily get killed there if not careful enough when passing the main street. Just as foretold, a bit smaller, a bit less fancy version of Abbazia / Opatija. The sea is the same :-) Also vey nice villas and apartments, the Lungo Mare is stretching all the way till here. The location is fantastic — just above a small beach, with others only a short walk away. The hotel offers excellent value for money and is run by truly kind and attentive people who make you feel very welcome. Breakfast on the terrace was a daily highlight, and dinner — which you pre-order during breakfast — was always fresh and delicious. Ideal spot for a relaxing short break on the Adriatic coast. We had a half-board and stayed in a family room (two connected rooms), very spacious and clean. Food at the restaurant was excellent, both for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is on excellent location, you can easily go walking by the coast all the way to the city of Opatija, or take a short bus/car ride.
