I had a fantastic stay at Medora Auri Family Beach Resort. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was modern and comfortable, and everything was well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling – they really made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, right by the beach with beautiful views. Beautiful little place with amazing beaches, nice restaurants and very suitable for all kind of activities like walking (very nice walking path leading to neighbouring place Tucepi), cycling and running. The place is typical for "Makarska riviera" medium size city with enormous number of places to rent. Unfortunately in high season it becomes too crowded for people who search for quiet and peaceful vacation location. During cloudy days there`s a possibility to hike in mountains nearby - very interesting places to visit. (also by bike - if you`re in shape :D) Local restaurants serve most type of local food and beverage. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday centered around a brilliant hotel and a beach, this is a place for you. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars on the promenade, some with live music. Those looking for clubbing all night - avoid. We have been to Podgora 5 times now, and we always really love it there. We are going there, as we would go home. It feels really great when we arrive, the smell of the sea, and the smell of the pine trees. The best restaurants were Portobello Bar and Riva. The sea is just a 100-meter walk away, and it's much more isolated than the beaches in Podgora and Makarska. Depending on the time of day, you might be the only one swimming. I find this important, as our family preferred this option. Our host, Eliza, is very kind and available at all times. She gave us a gift upon departure.
