The perfect island for feeling the peaceful island vibes of gilli and a great spot for fresh fish grill food on the beaches and many more great diverse restaurants which will not disappoint!! There are also plenty of amazing warungs to eat local food. More of a family culture, not as crowded as Gili T. Excellent value for money and the service culture of the residents is amazing. Easy to hire bicycles and scooters (electric) - essential. So many little gems to be found. A 2nd hand book shop, lovely places to eat, Gili Coffee Roasters became a favourite. Gili T was way too busy and commercialized, Gili Meno too quiet and Gili Air just right. A bit worried that they do not have a good recycling or rubbish disposal system, locals only look after their patch and nobody cares about the rest- this policy will eventually stop so many travellers coming.Food was great, locals friendly and helpful.Biking around Gili T is easy if you are careful, but soft sand means it's too hard on the other two.Guest review byAnonymousNew Zealand - 10.0

Brilliant island getaway. Will stay longer next time. Relaxing, friendly service, a lot to do for such a small place. Rented a scooter for the few days which made getting around the island easy. Saying it was the app booking fault, even if they confirmed our stay by message 2 days before our arrival… We had to find a new hotel last minute after 4 hours of transportation (taxi and boat), we were exhausted. Fortunately 2 young boys from the staff helped us with our bags and we found a better hotel, closer to Gili Air restaurants and center. Most of all the staff were so friendly and helpful. One staff member in particular went out of his way to find us a boat and car to take us to the airport at a very early hour, and made sure we were ok to get there in the dark by personally taking us to the port. We could not have made this work without him and are extremely grateful for his help.
