The bungalows are lovely and secluded staring out into the jungle. The staff are AMAZING. I got sick during our jungle trek and had to get out through a fairly dodgy route and the staff all came together to help me get out. The hotel booked me a different hotel as the jungle guide was booked for the night I was on a trek and brought me tea and medication to help. The next day, they transferred me back to the hotel. All of the employees are absolutely lovely and make the stay well worth it!

It's in an excellent location right on the river in the quiet spot of bukit lawang but still only a short walk from where all the action is and if you don't wish to walk there is a taxi service very close by which will get you into town. The rooms are very nice and the food choices are good and there is soft drinks and beers available for those that wish. Also the garden area is very beautiful with a lot of wildflowers and butterflies flying around so it's a pleasure even just to sit on your balcony and enjoy the view

The staff really rolled out the red carpet from the very beginning. They went above and beyond to make the trip special and were always asking if they can do anything to make the trip better. They helped organize our amazing jungle trek and all of our transport needs. We had booked for one night but ended up staying for three as we enjoyed ourselves so much. It’s in such a great location, great value for money and the food was some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia. We can’t recommend the jungle inn highly enough.

Fantastic hotel, very friendly and helpful hotel team, great location. Rooms are tastefully decorated, bed is convenient. We have arranged the jungle tour through the hotel and everything about it was amazing: tour guide and the team, fruit snacks and tasty lunch, opportunity to see orangutans in their natural habitat as close as couple of meters away, great and sometimes quite challenging jungle walk and the highlight of the trip - tubing on the river. Highly recommend Orangutan hotel to everyone traveling to Bukit Lawang!

The staff here were incredible at arranging our pick up, departure and excursions. Super friendly and helpful with good English and excellent communication. We arrived early and the water to the village had been cut off but everyone was super busy trying to get sorted. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was simple and delicious and the little bungalow was simple, cozy, spacious and excellent value for money. The view and location are incredible. Our most amazing day was the excursion to the bat cave and tubing back down the river. The cave itself is not for the faint hearted, or even remotely claustrophobic. It's a very real and adventurous/ wild cave with crawling parts, overhanging rocks ,bats ,bugs and slippery floor. But ... there is a way out half way through if you have second thoughts... 😄. The lunch was.beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The tubing, bonus hot spring cave and waterfall blissfully and incredible. Overall an awesome place for the price.

Came to jhony’s for two days trekking tour through the jungle and was an incredible experience, from the start seeing orangutans and many monkeys around , the five start hotel in the jungle for the first night was special and the next day rafting to coming back to our a accomodation in Bukit lawang was the perfect close .
