One of the few places nearby Singasari Temple to stay... so one might be ready to settle on less than nice.. But Safira Family Residence was quite nice. Since it was a bit more basic than maybe some westerners would be used to, even after I booked the owners messaged me explaining they didn't have AC, and the bathroom was shared.. and if we wanted to we could cancel, no problem. But, since none of this was a problem (while E Java IS rather hot and so AC might sound like a necessity, Singahasari is higher up, and therefore cooler, and the fan was more than adequate). Also, although not just out of the city, but out of Singasari town, there were plenty of nearby restaurants and convenience stores, etc...

Place with an incredible story. Have traveled alot, but have never been in place like this. Room amazing, food amazing, people amazing. Would like to give a special thank to Mr. Wawan. True character of this place. Location is very near Rainbow village and other great places of Malang town. Big enough privat parking place. Trully here is everything you’ll need. And do try food in their restaurant as well. You won’t regret. Not to mention breakfast. Michellin stars should be on their doors.

Absolutely loved my stay at this stunning 5-star hotel in the heart of Malang! 🌟 Despite being a small city, everything you need is just a stone's throw away, and taxi rides are a blast. Plus, breakfast offered a fantastic variety that catered to all tastes. I even transformed the massive 65-inch TV into a laptop monitor, allowing me to work remotely from the comfort of my bed—it was such a fun experience! Excellent room - really comfy and spacious. Had an issue with the neighbours in the room initially and staff were excellent to quickly resolve. Good location on a reasonably quiet street.
