If you’re looking for a peaceful escape far from the crowds, this place is an absolute dream. Tucked away in the middle of nature, the hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding rice fields and complete silence – just the sounds of birds and the wind in the trees. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere felt truly serene. What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality – the staff went above and beyond, even helping us arrange transport to a fantastic nearby restaurant (one of the best meals we had during our trip!). There are honestly no downsides. It’s the perfect spot to disconnect, breathe, and enjoy the beauty of rural life. Highly recommended for anyone looking to recharge

Bali River Retreat is a fantastic. The setting is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and stylish. The staff is super friendly and helpful, making the stay really special. we stayed here for 6 nights. rooms are small but have everything you need, they get cleaned everyday, bed is comfy, family is incredibly nice and hospitable. we rented a scooter with them so we had the freedom to explore the village. we would definitely recommend this place! it's a wonderful place and the nature surrounding it is so beautiful and peaceful, away from the busy cities like Canggu.

I have been to Bali many times and this was definitely one of the top places I have stayed. The setting is amazing, beautiful garden, great seating area overlooking the small pool and river. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you need to do your own cooking. A five minute walk takes you into Desa Tua where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, tofu and tempe. There is also a mini mart with any other supplies you need. The bedroom/living area is very comfortable and the bathroom is big and clean. The owners have done all they can to make your stay comfortable - things like a small first aid kit, a speaker you can connect your phone to, scissors, a torch - they have thought of almost everything. Wayan is a friendly host and can organise a motorbike - there a few beautiful waterfalls in the area - and can help you with onward transport. The place offers a peacefulness that is getting harder and harder to fins in Bali.

The staff at this resort were absolutely excellent, and made it a very relaxing experience for us. Shoutout Suzanne and the rest of the staff for taking extra care with my boyfriend’s nut allergy and making us feel very comfortable. The rooms were beautiful, and we felt the spa and food were good value. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a calmer, more romantic or relaxing holiday!

We had an unforgettable stay at Pitu a Punggul Village Escape. :) From the moment we arrived, the warmth and generosity of the Agung brothers (owners) and their incredible staff made us feel truly welcome. Their hospitality went far beyond expectations, every detail was thoughtfully handled, and the service was exceptional. Pitu offers much more than just a beautiful place to stay. From great tours and delicious dinners to seamless drop-off services, everything was designed to make our experience effortless and memorable. The communication with Mrs. Esa via WhatsApp was super convenient. Mr. Agung personally guided us to some of Bali’s most breathtaking spots, including his family temples, which were deeply moving and absolutely worth the visit and stay on their own. The villa itself exceeded all expectations, more stunning than the photos suggest, with an atmosphere of nature and authenticity that’s hard to find. Truly something for nature lovers. We can also highly recommend the floating breakfast. It was beautifully presented. What truly made our stay special were the people. Mr. Agung, Mrs. Esa, and the entire team have hearts of gold. Their kindness and sincerity left a lasting impression (!!), we genuinely didn’t want to leave. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care, and we feel lucky to have experienced it. They strive for perfection to give their guests the best satisfaction. Thank you to the Agung brothers, Mrs. Esa, and everyone at Pitu for an extraordinary stay. Really jungle feel in this place. Beautiful plants and trees everywhere with a gorgeous pool. Very helpful staff. Quiet location with a short scooter ride to Ubud city centre.
