In 7 months of traveling Southeast-Asia, this was our favorite stay. Imelda & Johan made sure everything is perfect. There are not many reviews yet because it is a new stay, but don't let this keep you from booking! Everything was perfectly clean, there are fans, there is hot water, there is good wifi, there is a mini fridge, they clean the room everyday, the staff is so kind, the breakfast is amazing, their kids are so adorable & most of all... the view is magical! I think we found the best place to stay in Sumba :) Thank you so much for everything!

A very enjoyable stay at Rua Beach Resort Sumba. The hotel is located right by the beach, with a pool and a restaurant, making it perfect for relaxation. The price is absolutely fair for the quality of services provided. Contrary to previous comments, we didn’t miss having constant internet access or Netflix – this place is designed to disconnect from everyday life, not to spend time in front of screens. The resort is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful nearby beaches. If someone is looking for luxury at $2000 per night, they should look elsewhere. Rua Beach Resort is a place worth recommending, full of peace, nature, and a unique atmosphere that’s hard to find in crowded resorts. We wholeheartedly recommend it! The Beach House is just by the beach. Sleeping by the ocean with the sound of the waves was very calming experience. Considering how less hotels are in this region, this place is 10/10. Clean, helpful staffs, reasonable food prices, great waves, beautiful location.
