Showing flourishing signs of rejuvenation, this city has one of the best preserved and restored historic centres in Indonesia, with charming streets, colourful neighborhoods, secret alleyways, flower markets, lush gardens and parks, perfect climate and gracious people. With its harmonious blend of multi- culturalism, multi- faiths and multi- backgrounds, the melting pot of Semarang is a true microcosm of Indonesia as a whole, from ancient temples, to ancient churches, monumental museums, all the way to modern-day Middle Eastern-Javanese mosques, showing that the assortment of religious places, are as striking as they are different, and the fact that they all exist in the same city is a true testament to the acceptance, harmony and appreciation for diversity of Semarang. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The floor to ceiling window with views over the city gave the room a wonderful light and open feel. Very inviting and relaxing. The breakfast was just incredible. So much variety of excellent quality and attentive staff. All staff were wonderful. Certainly a quality hotel.

    Everything is perfect but only one thing that I have really uncomfortable. That is internet connection !!!!! I can not fully watch YouTube or Netflix bt my laptop. Wifi signal continously has drorpped so it is very difficult to watch any streaming. Even I have to access to my company web for working. Something is happened. I can not work because very low level of internet connection and internet speed. I didn't have any internet issue when I was in Jakarta and Borgor during similar times (I was in jakarta and borgor one week ago) If you have to do something with internet, I can not recommend this hotel. It is very very terribles

    My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago.

    My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago. When I stayed 1 night on 3rd Sept 2024. I see much development, tidier and cleaner. Thanks to the local people and the government. However there are a lot of home works to get Semarang rated equivalent with Singapore for instance. I am expecting cleaner tidier safer city and prosperous citizen.

    I love the local foods . People are nice and polite Staying at Ibis Style Simpang Lima , is a good decision. Close to every where, the front desk her name is Noni she is not just friendly but she a big help . She recommends us where to go to get good tasty local foods.

    The property was a really great find. A perfect location in the heart of the old town and surrounded by amazing places to eat and sights to see. We loved the concept of the hotel with its laid back, practical approach to a city stay. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast we had there was also absolutely superb. We just wish there were more of these hotels around!

    We liked the location of this hotel, right in the middle of Semarang. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and changed everyday. There is free water on every floor, that is so good, thank you! The shower was really good (hot water, pressure).
