A great town during listowel race week, buses daily to and from. Atmosphere and craic was amazing. Beautiful beach and walks. A visit to Teach De Broc restaurant is highly recommended, located a short drive outside the village of Ballybunion.

Being right on the ocean is nice.

Being right on the ocean is nice. Town itself is small and was pretty busy and touristy. But it was cute. Just driving through we could see a quite a few different food options. Love the beach area. Cliffs are awesome, ocean views great. Nice little town.

Ballybunion is one of those small traditional Irish holiday towns. It has not changed much over the years. The main attraction is the beach (if you are not a golfer). There are a few beaches in the town, each has their own unique selling points. The Ladies (perfectly frames between two cliffs), Mens (longer walks) and Nun's beach (only accessible by rope). Each are different. There are a few pubs and restaurants and a gaming arcade which is great for kids.

The beach is well-known and popular.

The beach is well-known and popular. It's not the only local beach but it's good and Ballybunion town is good for tourists with kids. Of course golfers come here too. There are places to snack, souvenir shops and supermarket shopping etc. You don't have to stay right in town as there are plenty of good b&b's a couple of minutes drive away.

    A stunning seaside experience.

A stunning seaside experience. Two lovely safe beaches, one with a little surf action. The sun sets directly in front of the castle ruin on the promontory. Typical small village with typical pubs and food options. We stayed at the Marine Hotel which was a little pricey but very good - over the road from beach access and green area. The restaurant there has a good menu with much seafood available. We found it very enjoyable.

What an amazing experience , this is more of a stunning family run hotel/home, it has been in the family for decades. Jackie is the current owner, he is amazing knows everything and everyone. Jackie gave us an amazing recommendation for dinner and drinks nearby.See the history in one of the pictures that I posted . Amazing Golf course that you have book well in advance . Our rooms were huge .Our stay was finished off with an amazing breakfast prepared by Jackie son John. Will certainly return

Brilliant location in town, short walk to the fabulous beaches and shops and restaurants. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself has oodles of old world charm but spotlessly clean and extremely well kept. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but had a drink at the bar before heading to our room for the night. The bar was cosy with a open turf fire blazing and attentive staff.

A lovely B&B located on the Wild Atlantic Way - perfect for exploring the local area and further afield (such as Dingle). We stayed as part of a road-trip and were made to feel very welcome, along with being offered local travel advice. Ballybunion itself is a lovely little town with a gorgeous beach.

Tom and his wife were really friendly and accommodating. They really made us feel at home. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Ballybunion.
