Ferry View Cottage was the absolute best place we stayed during our six-weeks in Ireland. Carmel and Martin were so friendly and made our visit very special. We really appreciate their kindness and generosity. Both were exceptionally hospitable and warm, it felt like we were family. If you are planning to be any where in the area you will not regret your stay here.

This space has a stunning location and oozes comfort and care from the wonderful host Betty. Everything you need is provided and a beautiful large kitchen to cook your own meals. The gorgeous fireplace in the living area was a wonderful end to my day. Betty took the time to make me feel so welcome, and I thoroughly recommend Kilcommon Lodge.

Belmullet is a small town but has everything you need. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and it is ideal for a break away. The tidal pool is really nice for a swim and there are some really lovely long sandy beaches within a few miles of the town

Belmullet is quite a unique location on the Atlantic coast of Ireland. It's on the Wild Atlantic Way just north of Achill, but is not overrun with tourists. It's a small compact town and has more facilities than similarly sized towns in the West, with shops, cafés (special shoutout to Builín Blasta Cafe & Bakery), and pubs. You can sense that it has a strong local community spirit. It is also an Irish speaking area and on my brief visit I heard it spoken on a number of occasions.

The Hospitality was the Best. Stunning Views and Fabulous choice of food in the town, “Western Strand Hotel” The area has some nice walks. Mary in the Chameleon Hairdressers on Main Street is a Gem. (Opposite Western Strand Hotel). Ballycroy National Park worth a Visit if on route to Westport.

I was there for work.

I was there for work. Incredibly friendly warm helpful locals. I travel all around Ireland for work and Belmullet has to be one on my favourite places. If you love wild remote beautiful coastline with empty beaches and non pretentious friendly pubs with a great pint and atmosphere then Belmullet is definitely worth checking out.

I had never been here before and a last minute deal and we were craving the outdoors, and OMG did this deliver. I cannot believe I hadn't been here before. There was so much to see and do and walks and walks. VERY impressed (and I live in Clare) and will definitely be back and spread the word. A definite gem that hasn't been discovered. 10 stars. The raw real part of the wild Atlantic way.

A small friendly town surrounded by spectacular beaches and coastline with plenty of informative signage of the history of the area. Also recently opened a beautiful new interactive museum called Solas and has a gorgeous little bakery coffee shop An Builín Blasta as the hub of the town. A hidden gem!

Perfect stay at Majella's house. The room is very spacious, beds are comfy, there's Wifi, parking space, heating in the room, a private bathroom. Breakfast provided was delicious fresh müesli with yoghurt and we enjoyed our conversations with Majella very much. All in all it felt like home. The small town of Belmullet is just a short drive away so we highly recommend this place
