Claremorris is a lovely town, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. It's an excellent base for visiting Galway City and also Co Galway, Co Mayo and Knock Shrine (a must). Only half an hour drive from Ireland West Airport. Loved staying at the McWilliam Park Hotel.

Claremorris is a good base with restaurants and a rail connection to Westport, Castlebar and Ballina (Dublin too. Places worth visiting are Cong, Achill Island, Turlogh museum, Westport House, Connemara, Jackie Clarke museum in Ballina. The shrine at Knock is close if you like that sort of thing. Airport is close.

Claremorris is a friendly place to visit and has a-bit of everything. There’s also a good bus and train service. By car It’s 15 mins to knock shrine, 25 mins from west Ireland airport (nr knock), 55 mins to 1hr to Galway. Brickens Lurgan Lodge House is 12 mins by car from Claremorris.

Lots of facilities in the area such as a leisure centre and also a shopping centre with a late opening chemist. There are also a number of supermarkets and pubs / restaurants close by. Lovely town that is close to a number of locations so ideal if you are planning to travel around the Mid West of Ireland or further afield. Good coach and bus links plus a train station too, so plenty of travel options, including being close to Knock Airport.

Central to Claremorris, so clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. Had every amenity. Found on street parking right outside. Wouldn’t fault a thing. Really accommodating leaser letting us arrive to drop bags early and late checkout if needed, a pleasure to deal with!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. Very well presented and perfectly located for our event in the McWilliam Park Hotel. A very convenient location with Lidl across the road and a short walk into the town centre. We will definitely be back.
