Excellent day. €35 for entrance became €20 with my Seniors card. Thanks to the racecourse for this. Drink & food not exorbitant which I was half expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. We loved the seating to watch the racing where we did not have to pay any extra. A great day overall. I wish I could say the same for the nearby Clayton hotel where we were fleeced & got very poor quality. This will be an important factor if I decide to go again ( This was my first trip to Leopardstown races in over 40 years ). I generally go racing in the south of the country. Perfect for what I needed when traveling for work. It wasn’t clear that there would be an extra charge for parking when booking. I didn’t mind paying to be guaranteed somewhere to park. Well appointed hotel with great rooms for families and super location for the Luas (tram) to the city and also connects with the 700 bus to the airport all day and night. We didn’t use the bus from the airport this time as headed to Curragh on Sunday but would recommend anyone to use it. Great value for money and drops you right at the door of the hotel. Stayed here as an alternative to staying in Bray as it was relatively close by, 7 miles. Had a family room for 3 adults but room only had 2 chairs, not three. Room was cramped and although adequate for sleep and shower, not much good for anything else. Room was stuffy and hot, owing to the lack of aircon and windows that only opened minimally (for safety). Parking on site for €10 per day which is a bonus. The rooms are good size and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and nice but just a few little things missing like small pastries, Nutella and alternative to butter, e.g. flora. Good gluten free section though. We were going to a concert in Marlay park and you can get a shuttle bus to & from the hotel which was fantastic.
