We were there to meet up with family so we didn't use many...

We were there to meet up with family so we didn't use many of the facilities that Longford has to offer. Limited range of good restaurants but lots of fast food places. Good central base to explore lots of Ireland.

This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of...

This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of exploring but I’m so glad I did. I was on my way to a wedding in Roscommon and we stayed in Longford which was within a half hour drive. It was lovely to be by the banks of the Shannon and I will certainly visit again. We ate in “The Purple Onion” and as we waited for our taxi to collect us the proprietor treated us to a nightcap on the house.

The standard and style of the room was amazing! It was so clean aswell. I stayed in a 4-Star Hotel in Killarney the following night, and PV Fallons was WAAAAAAY nicer! The staff were so lovely, friendly and accommodating. If I'm ever travelling in the area for work again, I will 100% be booking back in :)

This is a gem in Longford.The price was great. The place was spotless with new bathroom facilites. Declan was so welcoming and really helpful with getting youtube for my daughter. He also got honey for breakfast. This added to the light hearted relaxing atmodphere. Thank you. The chocs were a nice touch.
