This is an independent, locally owned property - it was a pleasure to stay here. The building was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Staff were so very helpful and professional in their interactions. Besides the hotel, the building contains a lovely restaurant (fish and chips cooked to perfection) and a charming pub - Shannon Springs Hotel is a great place to recharge before or after a long flight in or out of Shannon Airport. There are bus stops immediately outside the building and you can be whisked there within minutes.

The room was freezing (as we're others) , the staff unhelpful and an unapologetic manager. Couldn't manage to get my rewards without multiple visits to reception (at least two other guests gave up) and got slapped by a 25euro charge for checking in an hour early .

Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience.

Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience. I highly recommend you use Shannon as your airport, especially for a holiday on Ireland's west coast. If you don't want to drive, it is well connected via bus to Galway or to Limerick, which has connections to everywhere else in Ireland via bus and train. If you do want to drive, you probably don't want to stay right in Shannon, but there is something for everyone nearby.

Airport is so efficient and staff are professional .Security is done so efficiently, a really painless experience and so much better that other airports. The local road system is a joy and well signposted. Our stay at Oakwood hotel was just lovely and staff were really great, always available and ultra helpful. The hotel was peaceful, comfortable and food of excellent quality.

We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping off point to other areas in & south of Shannon. Convenient location. People we encountered were very friendly there, & really everywhere we went over our 4 days on the island.

We very much enjoyed are stay in are accommodation near Shannon Airport, we wasn't expecting it to be so lovely at Carrygerry Country House Hotel. It only took 12 minutes to drive to it from the airport and nicely welcomed at the door by Gillian and shown to are room. Shannon airport, easy to park, easy to get too by car.

The friendly and accommodating staff. The fact they went out of their way to get a room as early as possible after we arrived in around 9am from the airport. They also allowed me to keep the room until 4pm as we were not leaving until 8pm. The pub adjoining was great too, with excellent quality food. I enjoyed my first Guinness which as someone from the UK who doesn’t like Guinness, I can now understand why people say it tastes better in Ireland.

Lovely location, very traditional cozy country house located 5 minutes from Shannon. Room was very comfortable, and the traditional Irish breakfast was delicious. Arrived late but would’ve loved to have had a drink in the well stocked bar. Would totally recommend staying here, a great stop off in an Ireland road trip. Fantastic value for money.

Fantastic B&B, in peaceful location. Very friendly hosts. Three minutes walk from bus stop with services to Shannon airport, Bunratty Castle and Limerick. Fabulous, freshly cooked breakfast. Lovely room, clean and comfortable. 30 minutes walk to Illaunmanagh parkrun.
