Crowded, dirty, noisy and unsafe, though good.places.to eat but the traffic.will.make.you go nuts, hygiene is absolutely missing, people drive recklessly, it's congestion everywhere., summers are brutal.

Many beautiful historical places to visit, clean city, great food varieties, most friendly people on earth. Gomati riverfront extremely clean and beautiful garden, famous chaat, kabab biryani huge selection of food, best breakfast all very cost effective and delicious Lovely place

Lucknow has a wealth of nawab and colonial history and the best way to explore the city is on foot. Unfortunately, like most cities in India, Lucknow is not geared to favour pedestrians. However, once we got used to walking on the road and crossing busy streets (footpaths were non-existent or full of parked cars, and no one respects designated cross walks) we enjoyed walking around the old bazaars, ruins of imambaras and the Residency. Some days we walked as much as 20 kms! The street food was amazing!!

Great historical town and absolute heaven for foodies; It is wonderful in winters and the old world charm is so heart warming. Many touristic places to see and live the history of this great town that is both charming and very human and tourist friendly.
