Floating amongst the icebergs watching the sunset colours on the glacier and lagoon is priceless. The supplied food is generous but you can bring along a backpack of special treats

CanadaWe stayed in a bungalow next to a sheep farm. There were many cute lambs to watch. The bungalow had all the facilities we needed - refrigerator, cooktop, coffee maker... Clean and quiet. Plenty of room for four adults (parents and adult children).

United KingdomWhat a find! Lovely hotel close to Diamond Beach. Very clean and modern with two large outdoor hot tubs and a sauna. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant both nights. The food was excellent and the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. We even managed to see the Northern Lights while we were there. Would highly recommend this hotel.

IrelandAbsolutely everything. Regina was absolutely lovely and actually gave us an upgrade as she had a cancellation and it was my partners birthday, which we were very taken aback by. So much kindness in Iceland. We asked about northern lights and the likelihood of the showing up that night and Regina kindly looked up the index for us - we got so incredibly lucky and actually saw them on our first night and my partner turned 30 under the northern lights. The location itself is absolutely stunning and incredibly remote. During the night, standing outside was spectacular - absolute silence. The workings of The Potato Storage is incredibly green and economic. The kitchen is decked out perfectly with everything you need to cook your own food. it was just ideal and exactly what we wanted. It was the highlight of our stay.
They also have canvas prints of Klaus’ photography in the studios which I thought was a lovely personal touch.

Hof seemed to be a small city, perfectly located if you are renting a car to see the area, we came from Vik, and we drove all over the Jökulsárlón and returned on the evening to the hotel. as every village in Iceland, you need to pay attention to the exit, but google map was able to find it and we didn't have any problems. We booked the 2 double room, assuming we needed to share the bathroom, little did we know that the two rooms are part of a cottage and it was like a big 2 bedroom house rather than 2 double room. Breakfast was amazing, and I suppose in aurora season, you can look up and see the northern like, but even if there is no season, waking up to the nature was mind blowing. it was perfect for us, 4 friends who did the ring road in 9 days!Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom

Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed to cook a few dinners during our stay here (we had picked up groceries in Vik as there were not any grocery stores in this area). There is a hotel with a restaurant up the road as well This was a great location to explore Skaftafell Park and the Glacial Lagoons on our stop around the Ring Road. We stayed for two nights here. I think you have to understand you're booking a Guesthouse not a hotel. The hostess was lovely and welcoming, the rooms were very clean, the bathroom was newly renovated and clean.
