Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

There was a lot of noise.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.Guest review byTPRUnited States

The house is a generous size, equipped to a very high standard and decorated tastefully. Star of the show are the incredible views over the coast near Kirkjubæjarklaustur and it's a great place to hang out and relax for a family or a group of friends. Our room was small, but sufficient for one night. There was even a little sink in it. The hostel has three very well equipped kitchens that you can use and a large common room.
