Cottage in the middle of nowhere, nice connection to nature all around, peace and quiet (apart from the elements, mainly wind). Extremely good views and good chances to see the northern lights when the sky is clear! Well equipped, quite clean but a bit older in terms of furniture. Very nicely decorated though, cozy and very warm inside. Hot tubs are the icing on the cake! Perfect getaway from touristy locations on iceland.

What a wonderfull place to stay. We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are big and comfortable, the beds were really really comfortable! The owner is such a nice and friendly gentleman. What a pleasure it was to meet him! The kitchen is nice and big and you can use anything you need. In the fridge was everything you need for breakfast. We would absolutely recommend this lodge to anybody!

We had a wonderful stay! We were three couples. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view. The host was very friendly and offered great advice for exploring the area and planning the next part of my trip. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to relax. We came too late to that overnight place. All the orhers were already sleeping. The hot tube after long drive would have been nice, but we didn't won't to disturbe others. I liked the horse pictures in the livingroom and the originel way that the kitchen was painted and dekorated.
