Beautiful little place Location is top Staff were accomidating even though we were late. They were happy to chat to give us advice about a location w wanted to visit. The dogs.were a bonus

Everything! The view, well equipped kitchen, the furniture. It was absolutely amazing!

Bedroom furnishings very nice. Comfy bed and spacious rooms. Beautiful summer views. Breakfast was outstanding. Best breakfast in Iceland - soo much to choose from.

Perfect place to sleep over and continue your road, room was clean, big enough for 5 people and ofcourse, pool was nice. Host is very welcoming and called if we want something to eat at evening. Good experience.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

We booked a lodge for 4 days but due to a snow storm and closed roads we stayed an extra night. The hosts are absolutely wonderful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. Apart from their care they are truly passionate about their work. They are building new lodges that look amazing. Our lodge was cozy and had everything we needed. To those who read this: book here and you won’t be disappointed.

The host was lovely and really kind. The structure and especially the kitchen was very clean and well equipped. They have adorable cats and dogs that love to be snuggled

The accommodation with the view in front of the canyon is amazing.

Really beautiful stay, great location. Provided towels and toiletries in the shower. Would definitely come back again
