We spent two nights in arpino for a wedding of friends and loved the hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the view of the sunset is gorgeous and the location just beautiful.

Il Ciclope was a wonderful option for us as the friends we were visiting knew the owner and recommended the facility. The meals were very nice and the staff friendly as were several of the other guests. Waking to goat bells on the path below the window in the morning was fun and the view across the valley just lovely.

We love our home above Piazza Municipio, but we wanted to be close to the Arco Festa at Addolorata. We looked online for a place to stay and we were very pleasantly surprised that the home rental we really liked was a home called "Casa Ciclope" hosted by Sandra Lidia Iafrate of the Il Ciclope Hotel . First, we have to say that we have never been treated so much like family than when we met Sandra for the key. She is awesome, friendly, and so helpful. We love her! Next, the location of the home in Civitavecchia could not be more incredible being only a few steps from Acropoli di Arpino and the Tower of Cicero. Just amazing! Now the home itself. It is a beautiful newly renovated 2-bedroom, 1- Bath apartment with a fully equipped kitchen that was extremely clean and comfortable. We live permanently year-round in the historic district, and we have seen a few renovations that were poorly done but this is not one of them! Sandra obviously spared no expense to have everything done beautifully by the best contractor. The views are breath-taking! The views of the mountains, valley, and lush landscaping are amazing, and you can see the Tower of Cicero from the windows in every room. There is a beautiful terrace with great views also. We only stayed one night because we live in this beautiful city, but it is so nice that you could live in this place! It was just the two of us and our little Maltese "Dexter" but a family of 4 or even as many as 6 could easily be comfortable staying here. Sandra was always available for questions and wanted to help us in any possible way. The hotel and her great restaurant are just down the street, and she will help in every possible way. Just ask! We strongly recommend Casa Ciclope to anyone!

I was searching for a place to celebrate my birthday and in the last moment I found this villa. I am so glad I did because it was the perfect option. My friends and I loved it so much. We’ve spent the loveliest time there. This villa has beautiful italian vibe just like in the movies. Also we couldn't get enough of the views from there. Inside the house we found everything we needed for our stay. I can’t help but mention the hosts as they are so kind and welcome. Thank you Sandra for our perfect stay. We enjoyed everything. Sandra also speaks english so it was easy for us to communicate. Everyone here saying it was confusing to get there but we didn’t have such a problem. Hosts were replying quickly and explained clearly how to reach the place. The road is indeed a little bit hard in the end but just because of the sharp slope (it is obvious because villa locates in the hills). Summing up the above we’ve had the greatest time and I’ve had the best birthday.

The surrounding mountains are incredible, family run, homemade food, very kind and authentic Italian experience. There are baby goats and Donkeys and ponies. Breakfast is included and delicious Italian style ! Traditional old world key for room- very private

Beautiful inside and out with a wonderful restaurant for dinner and awesome wines made by the chef. Our waiter didn’t speak English, but he was excellent in every way and patient with our translator app.

    Arpino is my family home.

    Arpino is my family home. Parents grew up there so it is a familiar village for myself. It has changed significantly over the last 60 years -lots of small businesses gone. The community spirit still exists in the month of August - lots of events going on. If you want to experience Arpino at night then avoid the week of the Gonfalone. It's madness. So much history in the village as it dates back to Julius Caesar's time. Not for the fainthearted though if you want to explore all the narrow alleys. Views are breathtaking. I will be going back but will book for early August

    Very pretty and historical town with beautiful palazzi. The restaurant scene was very disappointing. A couple of basic trattorias within walking distance but no elegant or atmospheric eating places. All the good places are out of town it seems. Civita Vecchia di Arpino very interesting.

    After 4 nights in Rome, La Pietra was a very peaceful refuge, in the hills outside of Arpino, the very charming birthplace of Cicero. The grocery had good local wine, cheese, and bread for picnics along Camino di San Benedetto. I picked this agriturismo because of the reviews for dinners. Unfortunately, during the week, in the off season, they don’t cook, unless they know that there will be enough diners. Breakfast was good, with a rotating selection of pastries, bread, meat, coffee and juice.

    Breakfast was excellent, although I don't usually have pastries in the morning i couldn't resist these. We had to drive to the restaurant for breakfast which was fine. The view was spectacular. We had booked our break during the busiest and noisiest time in Arpino. We were close enough to drive to the village in day but far enough to escape the noise.

    This is a great hotel with excellent and friendly staff , the place is spotlessly clean and the offer a convenient and fresh breakfast . We stayed with our 5 year old who was very comfortable on an air mattress and we had a lovely large balcony .
