Excellent mountain retreat with private spa suite. We loved everything about our stay. The spa was exceptional, dinner was fantastic & breakfast was lovely. Very well managed hotel with professional staff a short drive from Campo Imperatore. Highly recommend- we will be back.

Very hospital host. Nice big new room with balcony, very cozy and clean. Terrace upstairs with view on the mountains. Close by pub Da Baró with excellent food. Great place to stop and travel around with a motorcycle.

    Nice starting point for exploring Gran Sasso.

    Nice starting point for exploring Gran Sasso. There are only three restaurants in the town, all of them very good ( we tried all three) but considering slim options advanced booking is a must ; we also had a feeling that they cater for only one sitting per evening. Be sure to visit also Ristoro Muciante which s some 20 km away - a self catering facility where you buy their meet, cheese and side dishes as well as drinks and grill them by yourself ( during peak season be ready for a long waiting lines - we were there after the main ferragosto time but still waited for half an hour).

    This is essentially a review of Fonte Cerreto, as the hotel I stayed in is not in Assergi. Fonte Cerreto is very small, and is really just the base for exploring the Gran Sasso in the summer. It is probably also a good base for exploring the ski area in the winter. I ate in the hotel, but I think the trattoria a few hundred yards down the road would have provided better food.

    We were touring Campo Imperatore, Gran Sasso and the area so the location in our case was impeccable. Our bike spent the nights in a safe garage underneath the hotel and this was very convenient. The hotel is very clean and house keeping impeccably on the job every day. Two restaurants within walking distance, one adjacent the hotel and one is opposite.

    A nice property at a traditional building in Assergi, I stayed there while visiting LNGS but it can be an excellent base for trekking on Gran Sasso. The owner is very friendly and serves a nice breakfast every morning. The room is as in the photos, quite spacious for 2 people and despite the cold weather, it was quite warm!

    Photos give an accurate description, the apartment is spacious with a fantastic common balcony. Very scenic accommodation and the area around. The host was responsive to any requests we had. Cafe is provided and some very basic breakfast. If again in assergi probably will be my first option!
