This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. The villa is exquisitely furnished and very well maintained. The staff were most helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was an absolute treat. The location is great, as Barga (old town) is within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the region. June would be a better month in order to be able to enjoy the pool.

A little house completely renovated , the cleanest place I found in a long time. Handy to Barga at a very reasonable price price. Owners are great, accomodating, genuine. Nice garden around the house. Hips of parking area behind the entrance.

Anna Maria was an excellent host. The room was in a lovely town in Tuscany. Our stay was tranquil and we very much enjoyed our chats with Anna Maria. The place was very clean and comfortable, and she even provided plenty of food for breakfast, including homemade marmalades. We look forward to staying here again when we return to Tuscany.     Barga is quiet, not heaving with tourists, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful.it’s a lovely hill top town. We did a couple of their recommended walks…not easy walking. Tourist info office not open Monday through Wednesday, try the travel agency accross the road from The Alpino. Take the bus to Barga from Lucca, as Barga is on a hill and the station is in the valley, a few kilometres away, can’t guarantee taxi either.

    The most favourite place that I have visited in all the world and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Tuscanyt. Barga Veccia ,has a stunning Cathedral, an Opera house, many fabulous restuarants and throughout the town there are many art galleries and individual shops to explore. There is also a swimming pool open during the summer months. Do not miss going to Casa de Vino for wine tasting and picnic. It is also easy to travel from there to Lucca, Viaregio Castelnouvo and you can even visit Florence from here for the day. Bite the bullet and go there you will not regret it, enjoy.

    The town was beautiful and nature is wonderful. We would love to come back. We came on a Monday and several restaurants were closed because it was in the beginning of October. It will be nice to be in the town, when all places are open.

    Barga is a beautiful town on a hill.

    Barga is a beautiful town on a hill. A great place to explore the mountains above Pisa. There was a festival on when we arrived so the town was busy but full of live with live music and great food and drink.

    Get away from the madding crowd head to Barga true Italy its so pleasant in the old town has a good selection of bars and restaurants .On the edge of town is a fantastic public pool great for adults and kids ,further down the road is tennis courts and the surrounding countryside is stunning

    Barga is a beautiful old town with some stunning scenery.

    Barga is a beautiful old town with some stunning scenery. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and a market once a week - recommended. If travelling by train, allow plenty of extra time in case of line changes - the cost of train travel is low but remember to validate your ticket on the station platform before boarding. Barga is a fabulous Tuscan location.

    We loved this villa from early 1900s with its remarkable Art Nouveau decor and furnishings, large rooms, including a terrace for the buffet breakfast, a lovely garden setting a short walk from central Barga, safe parking, and a great welcome from the staff, notably Nadia and Beatrice. When we left something important behind Beatrice organized a courier to send it to us at our next location, for which we were very grateful. It would be a pleasure to stay again.

    The beautiful farmhouse near Barga was stunning. It was very peaceful, the room was was traditional and comfortable. The couple that own the structure are lovely people, they were very helpful when we had an issue with our rental car, they provided a lovely breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back again!

    The location, so close to the historic centre of Barga. The sat nav got us lost but on coming back along the Main Street we saw the sign up the hill! The host was so welcoming - he also runs the fish & chip festival in august!

    This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. 20 minute walk into Barga centre. an amazing pool with an amazing outlook. The air-conditioning was essential in the heat!
