I have been going to Cannobio for nearly thirty years it is a little gem on Lago Maggiore and is the essence if an Italian town. There are not many English or UK tourists, which makes it good to practise Italian. I`ve been visiting Cannobio on and off over the past 14 years. My favourite place on Lago Maggiore and beats Lake Como! Most of its charm derives from its wide, 700 year old piazza overlooking the lake and back by a beautiful, well preserved and well maintained old town. Good food and a variety of restaurants. Cannobio was great, the piazza were full of people enjoying the warm sunshine beside the lake!! It was wonderful 👌 We’d love to come back to this gorgeous village, the markets on Sunday were outstanding with lots of clothes, jewellery etc not sure how often they’re on. The views on the hill slopes are great and the pool is big, quite deep and was cleaned several times. The house works fine although a bit old especially downstairs. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the promenade in Cannobio and supermarket only 300m away. Even though very centrally located, it was very quiet.
