It's a fine place to visit many Call Me By Your Name spots, but apart from that it's a pretty ugly town with extremely car-centric infrastructure and sometimes even missing pavements on relatively busy roads. Really lovely town with loads of beautiful buildings and great places to eat and drink. The fans of the film are everywhere, but they are really nice & quirky young people. Lovely pizza & great services on the terrace in the main square. Also, highly recommend that you hire bikes as it's a great way to see the town and it surroundings, and to feel part of it. Crema is a stunningly beautiful city with a charming old town and outstanding culinary experiences. When I visited in May, it felt refreshingly untouristic—most of the people around us seemed to be locals, which added to the authentic atmosphere. Unfortunately, many general and food shops appear to have been replaced by high-end clothing chains, a trend common in popular Italian towns. Despite this, Crema still retains its heart and character, and it feels significantly less commercialized than places like Alba. It's definitely worth a visit!Guest review byRemoSwitzerland - 8.0

Any spot of Italy is interesting. Crema is a peaceful place with less tourists. The town itself is very nice with historic buildings and parks, Cycling in Crema would be a nice activities. Crema is a picturesque small town with an enchanting pedestrian street that has lots of boutiques on both sides and a wonderful cathedral (Duomo) in the central square. There are beautiful gates at each end of the pedestrian street, Porta Ombriano and Garibaldi. Lots of wonderful palaces (we saw at least 15) and churches with marvelous paintings. Santa Maria della Croce is a fascinating santuario. Also, the river Serio flows along the town and there is a hotel (Park Residence) close to its bank. Peaceful atmosphere, many small bars and restaurants in the centre. I would recommend Serafino - a great place for delicious pizza, and the ice cream parlour where they sell more than 50 ice cream flavors, as well as the Bandirali Cake shop in the main street, an exquisite confectioner's with delightful desserts. Last but not least, for film lovers, Crema is the place where the movie Call Me by Your Name was shot, so if you walk in its streets you will discover many of the movie sets. Crema is a small lovely city located in northern Italy, around an hour away from Milano. With its frequent trains and busses, it has a good public transport connection, in and around the city. The old city center is charming and a perfect place for strolling around, exploring and relaxing on an afternoon. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. He even provided a map with the cmbyn locations and a box full of lollipops, which I regarded as a very nice and welcoming gesture. Please ignore google maps and leave train station from platform 3 and walk straight up until you see the round church. Property was so clean and modern from all angles, but the highlight was the host Antonio.
