Despite the crowds around the sanctuary outside, inside this place of worship is peaceful and indeed most suitable for a quiet moment and prayer. The Virgin Mary's holy 'residence' within the sanctuary is indeed awesome, outside and even more so inside. Not to be missed. Although we had to climb up and down the stairs from the bus stop, the location of the hotel is still good because of its closeness to St. Rita’s Basilica. The staff were attentive to our needs. We like the fact that they had a driver to facilitate our day visit to Rocaporena, St. Rita’s hometown.
