Great base for exploring the Dolomites. Lovely setting with mountains on all sides of the lake which was also very picturesque to stroll around or you could take a pedalo or a rowing boat. A lot of people stay in Cortina D'Ampezzo because there are lot of lodging, activity and food options. Staying at Misurina, however, is magical and peaceful. There are just enough options for lodging and food. It's also very close to Tre Cime and Lago di Braies. It’s located minutes away from the starting point to tre cimi hike and few other hikes nearby like Lago Di sorapis. The hotel was clean and modern and great food at the restaurant. But why we loved our stay the most was the staff. They made out stay feel so homely and personal. They suggested “less touristy” hiking routes and just had an overall welcoming atmosphere.
