Monforte d'Alba was a dream.
Monforte d'Alba was a dream. The town was so sweet and full of incredible restaurants and such nice people. It's pretty steep so wear shoes with good soles if you plan to walk to the top of the town and see the clocktower - which is a must, the view is absolutely worth it! There's a wine shop that has all local Monforte d'Alba wines. I'm still dreaming of the macchiato and brioche con crema normale at the Grappolo d'Oro bar in the piazza. The church was beautiful too!! But really the scenery, fresh air, and countryside stole the show.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

A great little town which we used as a base to explore the region. Picturesque traditional village atmosphere with a great restaurant called Felicin which we had dinner at twice as it was that good with amazing views. Lovely bedroom, good kitchen facilities, good bathroom & shower. Monforte d'Alba is a fabulous village in the heart of the Barolo region (but without the incessant crowds of Barolo itself).
