We stayed here while walking the Cammino dei Borghi Silenti. The hosts were very welcoming and the position of the property is stunning with a fantastic view of Montecchio. We ate there too and the meal was delicious. Very good value. We would recommend it.

We were welcomed with open arms and a cup of cappuccino by Ada. The accommodation was perfect, a little out of Baschi and located amongst the vineyards. The home made breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. We even received a delicious bottle of local wine from Roberto. Thank you Roberto and Ada for your wonderful hospitality. I would recommend Le Macchi to anyone wanting to visit Umbria.

The location in a small medieval village is just perfect. The apartment is new, very clean, and comfortably furnished. Our son was absolutely thrilled with the rainbow lighting in the shower :) The owner is kind and always ready to help. You can also enjoy a delicious Italian breakfast at a nearby café, with fresh pastries and great coffee.

This place is something else! Tranquil paradise in Umbria with lovely views. Traditional but modern interior which includes some furniture pieces hand made by the host Alessandro who has been wonderful with us.     Il Casale Di Mario is a beautifully restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves. Mario as well as mother Annunziata and sister Rafaela were very kind and welcoming. They were very patent with my very poor ability to speak Italian. Dinners prepared by Annunziata were excellent, like both my Italian grandmothers used to prepare. Felt like being at home. Due to some unforeseen circumstances having to do with my reason for being in Montecchio, had to stay two extra days. I have never been happier about being delayed!

    I will write what I told the owner - the house was really amazing and felt like a 'home', so much that we checked our route to see if we could stay an additional day. The house minutes drive away from Montecchio (restaurants, groceries).
