Very good location for trips in the area (short distance to Lake Como, Bergamo, Milano). A car is recommended, though, as the location is a bit off the beaten track (really easy to reach by car, though and next train station accessible with a little walk). Being off the tourist crowds, however, is a huge benefit of the location. The small hotel has a really beautiful garden and is situated in a quiet surrounding in a pleasant local neighborhood. Inside the hotel is a true gem and the rooms are fantastic. The owner is extremely friendy and you can see pretty much from the first moment that you enter the premises that he has not only put in a lot of heart into his place, but that he loves to surpise you with little unexpected details (e.g. lots of tour books and other material on the surrounding areas in the lobby, nespresso coffee machine inside the room, really comfortable beds with pillow menu, more than enough storage room, electricity-powered curtains, luxurious bathroom, etc.).

The location is excellent as it is directly on the shore of Lake Como. We were welcomed by the owner/manager and shown to our room. The breakfast was excellent.

We had a truly amazing stay at this family owned establishment. It's great to see that the Gritti family runs it so well. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The room chosen was not super big but it was very clean with a great bed and the room comprised of all necessities. It had a cute little balcony to chill. The bathroom was nice and the shower quite big. We ate at the local pizzeria (also owned and run by the family). We were lucky enough to have experienced the special night where they closed off the street and had set up tables in the middle of the road. The pizza was amazing and the accompanied live music made it even more memorable. The next night we ate at the restaurant in the resort and enjoyed it a lot. We received complimentary starters, had a great pasta course (the raviolli was to die for) before we enjoyed our main courses. The local wine went with it very well. However, the view over the entire valley was the main star of the evening. We also enjoyed a full day of relaxation in the spa/wellness which has everything you need to thoroughly rest and relax. We would recommend this hotel/resort very highly to everyone looking for some authentic Italian food, service and relaxation. I'm sure we will come back at one point!

Even arriving late at night from the airport, someone was there to greet us and personally escort us to our room. They specially provided hot water for our room. The next day, when our car had issues, they enthusiastically helped us communicate with the repair company. Seldom have I so enjoyed a hotel this much. First - quiet setting overlooking the river to Brivio with stunning views from every floor. Second - restful gardens to relax in. Third - excellent restaurant at waters edge with beautifully presented tasty food and a good menu. Fourth - spacious room, spacious bathroom and excellent toiletries. Honestly, it was a haven after a very busy 2month holiday.
