    It's a charming little place especially if you take the time...

    It's a charming little place especially if you take the time to walk up the through the steep back streets to the old fort. There are some good restaurants and fortunately it hasn't yet been completely Disneyfied, unlike the larger options around the lake. The proximity to the ferry for trips to Lago Maggiore does attract a lot of day trippers. There are lovely paved walkways along a large stretch of lakeside.

    Everything within the town was within walking distance. We travelled by train with suitcases and didn't need a taxi. The ferry to Isola Maggiore was a highlight of our trip. We used Passignano as a base to travel to Assisi by train, which was straightforward. Perugia is also worth exploring but we had already stayed there before coming on to Passignano. There were a lot of restaurants, but we mostly ate at home. It took us a few days to find the small town centre supermarket, which would have saved us the longer walk to the Coop, beyond the station. The pasticceria was a favourite shop! This is such a lovely location that it could be very busy in the middle of summer. We were there early in the season and it was only busy on the Sunday.

    Passignano is a nice town on Lake Trasimeno.

    Passignano is a nice town on Lake Trasimeno. There is not much to see in the town itself, but being on a trainline it is easy to get to Florence, Assisi and especially Perugia. There are plenty of good-value places to eat.

    The town itself was nice and fun, very nice walks and restaurants. If you have the car, you can drive around the lake and see the surrounding area, which has quite a lot to offer in terms of historical buildings and history in general. The scenery was nice too. Opposite Passignano sul Trasimeno, across the lake, was another town, Castgliano del Lago or whatever it's called, I wasn't in there but it looked interesting too. The only thing that was a little worse is that the water was bad and it was not recommended to swim in. There were few places you could swim, I went there but it didn't look appealing so I just swam in the pool. It is still a good destination to stay there for a few days and enjoy.

    A beautiful town on the lake... cobblestones.. restaurants and Enotecas Ferry to the islands Train that connects you to Rome or Florence and all over Umbria Great patiserie Cafe Dell Sotto just out of town worth the walk

    staff very friendly and hotel spotless, enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. loved the fact the train station was 5 minutes away to take me to florence & perugia, was here on my own for a wedding a few miles away so hired a car aswell, if i had a family wife & kids i would go back here. hired a car from perugia airport which was so easy to navigate using sat nav on my phone, Passignano sul trasimeno is a quiet peaceful town with plenty of resturaunts & coffee shops. 8/10

    The location is perfect for restaurants, bars and access to the lake. The staff were extremely helpful and went over and above for us. We needed to check out before breakfast on our final day and the hotel brought the time of breakfast forward for us and even made fresh pastries for us. We happened to be there during a local boat race which was loud but this made our stay better because we got to see the friendliness and welcoming locals.

    A cute little lake front house, newly renovated and spotless. The delightful owner host was friendly and helpful with excellent recommendations re, restaurants etc. A very spacious room with a useful small sort of kitchen area and there was a little garden with table and chairs to sit in the shade...it's very close to the ferry and an easy walk to the station.

    Very pleasant and comfortable stay at Parkhotel Montigeto. The room we stayed in was very clean, large and the bathroom was huge too. Large variety of breakfast items and the staff are extremely helpful with needing to know nearby restaurant recommendations etc. Looking forward to our wedding guests staying with you next year! :)
