Villa is in a stunning settings, hosts only 2 families, and you are surrounded by wine yards, gentle hills, sea views and stunning sunsets. Peace and quietness, absolute heaven. The hotel itself is really nice. The garden is well taken care of, there is a big swimming pool that was very clean. It is surrounded by nature so there was no noise. It was still very well located (if you are coming by car), very close to Maria Pia beach and Alghero itself. I would recommend to anyone who comes with a car and wants to enjoy a bit of a calm surroundings but in a very approachable distance to all the nice spots in the surroundings. It is also very close to the airport. The rooms were clean, well-equipped and comfy. The is a plenty of space to park the car in the hotel´s area. My family liked the hotel very much!

This place is unique. The renovation of the old barracks, the location, views and respect for its place in an ecologic park make for a beautiful, relaxing, bespoke experience. The staff are so warm and friendly always happy to help & guide but also give you space. Simone, Doris and the team really make you feel welcome. I commend them for trying to offer high quality alternative low impact tourism. The food is excellent, locally sourced, probably the best in Alghero. The rooms are well appointed too. The rifugio is in the ecological protected site so the only neighbours you have are birds, foxes, plants and trees. It's a good walk up from the carpark about 40 mins but there is an electric shuttle bus. We used bikes to get around which was simple and a great way to explore. There are gorgeous little quiet coves for swimming in the park you get them to yourselves. If you are the sort of person who enjoys being independent, nature, walking, cycling, good architecture and food then this is certainly a great place to stay. If you prefer lying by a pool and and being near facilities then I would recommend coming the the restaurant at least once to see what you think. The rifugio is in its first year, I suspect it will become very popular indeed.

    Hotel is located at the edge of a national park so its great for walking or hikes. The local marina offer some marine activities. Recommend car hire so that you can get to see the historic places in the region. the region itself is beautiful, plenty to see and do.

    It is a beatiful place to relax, access to city centre by bus is ok, some may prefer using own car. The amenities are such that you do not really need to leave the place until your departure day! Plenty to see and do from Alghero centre.

    The location was the biggest draw card for us.

    The location was the biggest draw card for us. We didn’t need luxury because we planned to be out exploring. Porto Conte was clean, the family who run it do a brilliant job looking after guests and the breakfast was generous and fresh. I highly recommend it as a neat and tidy base to recharge before the next day’s adventures!

    Well deserved 10. Alessandro - the friendliest host in all Sardinia, it was nice to meet someone you can talk to, met us with tasty wine. The breakfast had local homemade products and was all I expected, the room provided us with best sleep (quiet! no barking dogs 1m from your ear like we had in other place...). Really the perfect place in this part od Sardinia (I'd love if they added possibility of using kitchen).

    Beautiful hotel in a fantastic setting. Our room was excellent for a family of 4, with kids having a separate room within our unit. Great snorkelling from the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Evening meal was expensive given the quality and choice.
