We arrived late after dark in the rain. They had someone at our villa to greet us and show us how everything worked in the villa. Prior to arriving they contacted us. The communication was impeccable. We felt very comfortable about arriving late because of the incredible service. The best part about the entire stay in Villa Magia was the people that work for the owners as well as the owners themselves. Their service to towards their clients was probably one of the best ex experience I've had in my 60 years. Thank you for a fabulous day. The girls enjoyed every minute of it.

If you're looking for a truly luxury stay on the Amalfi Coast, this is the place. Everything about it was done with attention to the comfort of guests, and we felt really and truly pampered. It isn't cheap, but it is worth it if you're looking for something really special.

Absolutely everything. The view, the breakfast, the rooms, the free shuttle to town, but especially the service! The place is ran by Giovanni and his family, and they make you feel at home from the minute you arrive at Il Barilotto. If I return to Positano (and I hope I do!), I wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. 10 out of 10!

Upon arrival we were greeted with some refreshments. We were shown around and taken to our room. We loved our room and beautiful all marble bathroom. Everything was super clean. The bed was very comfortable. In our room there were slippers and pool slippers. We went to the roof and looked over the beautiful bay. In the mornings we enjoyed wonderful breakfasts with home baked goods. One morning I requested something which was not readily available, and someone ran out to get it for me. And that sums up the extend of the service at Hotel Villa Franca. They want you to have a perfect stay. Also the guy who drove us to the village a couple of times was so sweet and accommodating. We really had a very relaxed and wonderful time here.

Everything was pure perfection! This hotel is a hidden gem of la dolce vita — from the moment you arrive, you’re wrapped in beauty, elegance, and effortless charm. The rooms are a dream, designed with impeccable taste and attention to every little detail, creating an atmosphere of total serenity and pleasure. The view? Whether you’re sipping an espresso at sunrise or a glass of wine at sunset, it feels like you’re living in a postcard. Town is most beautiful seen from the sea or a high terrace.

Town is most beautiful seen from the sea or a high terrace. Friendly people. Gets overrun by tourists, even October. Lots of hills and steps, and taxi’s are a flat rate of 35 euros, adds up fast. Better to walk and avoid traffic jams. La Pergola on the beach for pizza, also for spaghetti and clams. Ohima for great vibes and good food. Il Pallazo for special evening. Ferries to visit Amalfi and Ravello. See Capri and ride the chairlift. Relax and have fun.

A wonderful stretch of coastline despite the local drivers!

A wonderful stretch of coastline despite the local drivers! Other main hazard the lack of parking places - particularly appreciative of the private parking space at our house. Despite that, accessible to Pompeii, Amalfi, Ravello, Capri etc. all of which we visited in our four night stay. Particularly good meals at Saraceno d'oro and La Taverna del Leone.

    Positano is a total zoo!!!

Positano is a total zoo!!! The alleys are jam-packed with people and lined with shops selling tourist junk. The roads are extremely curvy and hazardous to walk on (shoulders are about 6" wide). Every time I tried to take a bus there were about 4 busloads of people waiting and it was a battle to get on.

The fornillo area is much better than downtown Positano. Its not Chaotic at all. Its more relaxed ,you can walk down to town ,there are 30 odd bars and restaurants between you and the main town and most of them are with a cliff top with a view of the ocean .What I like about this area is that you always feel like a local at this place and the people love your company

I loved Positano, the people, the vibe, the culture and the beauty. I highly recommend going and staying in the heart of it all. I always felt safe and comfortable. I always walked at night and never had an issue. There's lots to see and do. I took in a sunset cruise, such an incredible way to see the coastline. The food is amazing, always fresh ingredients. You feel like family when you sit down to eat. It's an absolutely stunning place. Go if you have a chance.

The accommodation is a three-story maisonette with 2 bathrooms and a WC. Beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, good mattresses, and quality linens. The biggest bonus is its central location in Positano and the minimal steps required for access compared to most other properties. They also provided us with free parking for our scooters just a few meters from the house. Breakfast, served at a nearby hotel, was a pleasant surprise—a rich European buffet on a lovely terrace with a view.

Clean rooms and common area. Very comfy bed, best in all our trip (we had 4 hotels/B&Bs). Balcony with amazing view (both the town and the sea). The amazing helpful friendly cheerful staff helped us a lot with reservations over the phone and gave good tips for traveling. The best restaurant we had in positano, regarding value-for-money, was in front of the hotel: "Saraceno d'Oro".
