It was absolutely clean, nice room, great friendly staff. Very quiet and near the Termini Station, I paid 11 € for the taxi. I’ll certainly choose to stay again in this hotel, when visiting Rome again.

We have chosen Umiltà 36 for our vacation in Rome and our stay was amazing. This hotel is located in the very heart of Rome - just a few minutes from the Trevi fountain - but hidden on a quiet street, which makes it a true gem. Our room was not only beautifully decorated, but also thoughtfully and smartly designed, the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and there was no noise from outside in the room. The hotel restaurant “Aquamarina” has a great seafood menu with local dishes and wine. What makes Umiltà 36 really special, however, is the people. Every staff member we’ve interacted with was friendly and genuinely helpful. And what is most important, during our stay our little daughter was treated like a princess - which meant the world to us.

    Book tickets for the Colosseum well in advance - before you travel. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Watch out for 'ticket type touts' around the area. The Hop On Hop Off buses are really good and you get to see a lot of the city. The Hop On Hop Off river boats probably not as good but if just want a little trip on the water to take a load off after walking around - it's pleasant on a nice day. Gregory's Jazz Club near the Spanish Steps is a rare find - great music, staff and drinks. There is a charge to listen to the live jazz but worth it. Most bars and restaurants charge around 12 euros for a glass of wine. There is also a cover charge (varies) and often a service charge - but tips are not included. Similar to Just Eat in the UK! Be prepared but don't let it deter you - to soak up the atmosphere and ambience around the piazza's is priceless. You must sit and have a drink in Piazza Navona if nothing else!

    Rome is magnificent, so much to see.

    Rome is magnificent, so much to see. But … it is wall to wall tourists. Book everything in advance before you leave home as it sells out. Queues are very long even with tickets. Try Trevi Fountain around 7:30 otherwise crazy!

    If you like history Rome is the place to go.

    If you like history Rome is the place to go. From ancient Rome to early Christianism and the Catholic Church Rome is an open museum, ready to be explored. Add to that the amazing food scene and the romantic atmosphere and you are in for an amazing experience.

    Rome is an amazing place with a lot of historic sights. Kolosseo, Fontana di Trevi, piazza Navona, Vatican are some of them. The spirit and the ambience of the city are amazing. The people enjoy their life. Food is delicious!! I returned in this city for sure!

    Rome is a great city with a lot of historical high lights. The traffic is very crowdy and sometimes dangerous. There are no car-poor areas. The buses are overloaded. Advice: take a hotel in Rome, it saves travelling by bus. The metro is ok and fast, but also crowdy.

    I usually don’t put reviews on booing.com, but this apartment deserve an exception. The apartment in very good location, where you feel like you’re living in the town, and everything is close. Also, the house has that Italian touch where it has a nice garden with a beautiful and wide living room and nice arts on the wall. Finally, an advise to anyone going Rome, if you want to live the full Italy experience stay in this apartment as it was the best part in our holiday. Big thanks for the friendly owner.

    It was a perfect stay at the middle of the historical city of Rome located within 1 km from Colosseum and just over a km from Roma Termini station. Very clean and comfortable room with a balcony and plenty of air and lights. The AC really can cool down the room unlike most of the hotels of Italy. Both room and toilet looked very well maintained. Bonus point was the nice and helpful behavior of the host. She went beyond our expectations with her helpfulness. Highly recommended.

    We had to book this room at the last minute because a train strike in Italy forced a change in our plans. The best part was the helpful host, Sergio, who deserves a better place to work. The room was uncomfortable, hot (the air conditioning didn't work) and smelled of bleach. The hotel is in a grubby area of Rome, near the train station, that felt unsafe at night. We left as soon as we could the next morning.

    This hotel exceeded our expectations for Rome. We stayed in 12 hotels/farmstays over 4 weeks for our European trip (Holland, Italy, Paris) and this was one was the absolute best value. The bed was in the top 3, the room was very spacious for a major city hotel and the bathtub would have been amazing if it wasn't 36 degrees out. I was tempted to have an ice bath but I had no access to ice.

    Fantastic location, super friendly staff and the place has a very Italy/Boutique vibe to it. It's small, but so are most hotels in Rome. We've stayed in a few different places in Rome, and this was our favorite. It's also close to Termini without being TOO close, which gets a little grimy.
