Literally the most comfortable, quiet, amazing place I've ever stayed!!!! When we arrived we were asked what time to prepare our daily private sauna and we opted for after dinner. We then sat down to a multi-course incredibly cooked Japanese dinner filled with vegetables, meat, and fish, and it was truly so delicious and included in our stay! We then went to the sauna which was so spacious and beautiful, wood burning, and smelled so nice with the wood paneling. There was a private plunge pool and warm bath as well as a shower to use privately during our hour long sauna session. Also, the toilets are "shared" but there were 3 or 4 so it did not feel that way and they were SO CLEAN and in private, single rooms. We then went to our room which was HUGE. Easily the biggest room I stayed in while in Japan. The beds were extremely comfortable, there was heat and AC, and tons of closet space as well as a desk and enough space to do yoga. The room was also so quiet and lovely. Breakfast was another huge highlight of the day with both American and Japanese style home cooked meals! The location was perfect. We went to Daisetsuzan national park, nearby Biei and Furano/Kamifurano, and Asahikawa. The area is surrounded by beautiful farmlands and we went on a jog in the morning on day which was beautiful. In the evenings we sat in the main living/dining room area and they always played fun/soft music and had a wood burning fire going. They also had a full bar you could choose from and our evenings were so relaxing and perfect. Then we would do it all over again! Lastly and most importantly, the hosts were SO kind, hospitable, and warm. They poured their entire lives into this place, it's only 2 years old, and they designed and built it themselves. You can tell how much love went into it. They're both incredible skiiers and surfers and just want everyone who stays there to have the best time.

Of course the view from the property are insane.. We loved everything about the place. Quiet location on the edge of town, peaceful. Tastefully designed apartment, comfortable, fully equiped kitchen, laundry with soap and dryer, tons of little extras - coffee machine and fresh coffee beans and a fancy drip machine which also grinds, condiments for cooking tons of towels and soaps in the shower, fully stocked medicine cabinet with tooth brushed, razors, hair brushes, headache meds and much much much more. Arisa answered all our questions about things to do, places to see, where to eat and any questions we asked she immediately provided answers. Excellent place for short and long term stays. Highly, highly recommend.

Pension/Room: Very comfortable and clean. We had our own dinner and breakfast at the common dining room. Location: Beautiful area in the heart of the Biei landscape. The iconic tree, Ken & Marry tree, is located just next to the pension (as the name of the pension implies). Pension owner: Very kind couple in their 70s. They extended their help in many ways. Their English is limited but they are trying their best to communicate.

The room is spacious, so is the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast spread is not bad considering that this is a small hotel with low number of rooms n guests. Local specialities such as milk, cherry tomato, bread are available. Good location - walking distance to restaurants. Conveninent complimentary parking right next to the hotel. Staff are very helpful, and we are grateful for their assistance.

A large communal space in the middle of the room allowed for easy circulation and included appliances and amenities made meal preparation convenient. We came by car, and the property has ample parking and is located just down the road from the Biei train station.
