Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay at Toyoko Inn Hamada Eki Kita Guchi. Our rooms were comfortable. The laundry facilities were reliable, as usual. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was satisfactory.

The staff was excellent and very helpful to a solo foreigner with nearly zero Japanese. Kind and helpful during my entire stay! Can walk to many sites. Station is nearby for busses, trains and taxis! The room was very comfortable and clean. I recommend this hotel if you are in the Shimane area!

This was our fourth trip to Japan and we've stayed in many ryokans. This is one of our favorites. The space we stayed at was huge. It was a two-story stand alone building. The seats looked out onto the courtyard with a pond and a lot of trees, which was very peaceful. I'm usually not the type to stay in my hotel/ryokan all day, but this place tempted me to do so due to the serenity of the courtyard. There were two private onsen that were easy to access due to the small number of guests that stay here. The food was fabulous. While walking around one morning I found a hiking trail that led up to castle ruins. The next morning I hiked up to the ruins and down the other side and came out near the Moss Land.
