I loved touring Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Memorial Museum. The history is very rich and enlightening. If I had more time, I would have looked for other things to do in Hiroshima and tried more of the cuisine.

2 Days is not really long enough to write a review other...

2 Days is not really long enough to write a review other than to say we needed more time here, So next time i will do a week here , the Museum is a must see and we found the whole Peace Park such a beautiful place, i would recommend a visit here and will write more once i have spent another week here.

We just visited for one night and one day to see the Peace Memorial Museum and Park. The museum was extremely moving and very confronting. Would recommend to anyone coming to Japan. Could have done with another day to see the castle and art museum. Suggest two full days if you have time.

There is only really one sight in Hiroshima, and it's worth a visit, depressing as it is. With a one-night stay, you should also be able to fit in the shrine on Miyajima, which is definitely worth the journey (aim for sunset).

Didn't explore much beyond the Peace Memorial Park, the Vitims memorial (so quiet and thought provoking, they have used the sound of water very well) and some nearby streets as only here for an afternoon and a morning. It certainly makes you question why atomic bombs were ever developed and affirms that they should never be used again. Seeing trees that survived the bomb, and listening to an 'in utero' survivor was moving too. On a happier note the okonomyaki is very much recommended. So easy to get around using trams.

Quiet, orderly place where the emphasis is on peace, forgiveness and rejuvenation. Was ironic to sit there and contemplate what is currently going on in the world. Amazing how much was left standing and conversely how much was destroyed. The stone marking the hypocentre is very understated. We had some very good Okonomiyake recommended from a Google maps review,in a tiny place that seated approximately 4 people but was delicious.

Really great location, near the station. On previous stays in Hiroshima I was nearer to the Peace Park, but close to the station was far more convenient! Hotel was clean, had great amenities, and great food options. There is a buffet for breakfast and lunch, and an izakaya-style restaurant that serves great food and drink in the evenings. Convenience stores nearby, including one attached to the hotel itself. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay!
