Location was fantastic. The room was HUGE, did not expect it to be that large or nice. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The bath and shower were absolutely amazing (especially the bath tub). We paid more for a room in tokyo that was maybe a quarter of the size of this room. 10/10 would stay here again. I broke my phone so I unfortunately dont have any photos. But if we stayed in a place like this in Canada it would be a minimum $600CAD a night, if not more.

This Hotel directly above the Hiroshima station was luxurious, quiet and extraordinary. The service orientation was worldclass, the rooms outstanding and the price still affordable. The strategic location made it possible to come from Kyoto in the morning, leave the luggage there, see Miyajima and Hiroshima in one day, stay there overnight and use the first Shinkansen up north in the next morning.     Very impressed with the peace memorial , museum and surrounds. Walking distance between all sights. Easy to walk to sights , lots of great places to eat and shop. So much better value than Tokyo or Osaka Great place to spend a day at Miyajima and return to. Very happy we spent two days here . Very easy to get around , great public transport and a very walkable city. Must try the Hiroshima pancakes - fun watching them Make them in front of you .

    Hiroshima was a lovely city of history and culture and an opportunity as a base to do additional day trips to other cities to experience more of the Japanese culture. We experienced very humid conditions in September so would look at the cherry blossom time when returning

    The city was a great inspiration.

    The city was a great inspiration. With not that many tourists around, Hiroshima stays authentic. We loved our day passes for public transport as they came in handy and even included a ferry to Miyajima island!

    The city is clean, tidy and well laid out.

    The city is clean, tidy and well laid out. There is a lot to see and places to visit. It was easy to get around and everyone we came in contact with was helpful and kind. The Peace Park and the Museum are a must to visit. The whole area has a great sense of calmness. Miyajuma Island is well worth a visit. It's beautiful and only took 45 to get there on a ferry from the Peace Park. Lots of places to eat and soak up the surroundings.

    I honestly feel everyone should visit Hiroshima.

    I honestly feel everyone should visit Hiroshima. First off, the bomb being dropped there was one of the defining events of the 20th cenrtury and the peace museum is a somber reminder to us all to never forget how horibl war is. Secondly, it's incredible to see the city that has grown up in the 80 years since. It is a beautiful city of rivers and bridges and is very walkable with yummy fod everywhere. Finally, the island of Miyajima is an easy ferry hop from downtown with its beautiful shrine and iconic torii (and tame deer).

    A lovely city with plenty of art, history, and delicious food. Oysters, lemons, okonomiyaki, etc. Miyajima Island was a delight and Hiroshima Castle was fascinating to see. On a more somber note, visiting the Atomic Bomb Memorial and the Peace Museum might be a little emotionally overwhelming for some people, but it was a valuable experience. Make sure to have plenty of time to go through the park and the museum. The local restaurants and izakayas were welcoming and chatting with locals was a lot of fun. I would have liked to visit more cafes in Hiroshima, but didn't have enough time. Overall, it was a short but good trip and I'd like to visit the city again sometime.

    We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were highly professional, polite, spoke English and were always friendly and helpful. The young lady at check-in was especially impressive—very competent and efficient. Our room on the 7th floor was beautifully designed with a stunning view of the river, and the location near Hiroshima Station was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hiroshima.

    We only stayed one night but the experience was excellent. The location is superb, everything in Hiroshima is close and the center (for tourists) is the peace park and you are there. At the other end of the peace park is the Dome, there is an observation tower that cost ¥2,200 but at the hôtel you have +/- the same view, with breakfast for ¥1,850. The room (for 3) was a good size. Overall the facility was excellent.

    Great location near Peace Park and a lot of restaurants. Easy enough to get to from Hiroshima station. Staff were incredible, spoke good English and were willing to help us forward our luggage to the next city (and receive it early from the previous hotel). Great little coffee stand on the ground floor, a coin laundry available comfortable room overall. Shower & toilet were next level.

    The Hotel Granvia is perfectly located next to the Hiroshima JR train station. Made the trip to and from Hiroshima much easier! The hotel staff was very attentive and clearly wanted to make our trip very pleasant. The hotel itself is very beautiful and spacious. Although our room was more on the small-side, it was very clean and tidy.
